Phineas and Ferb: Holiday Favourites

Following the release of the original soundtrack and the holiday special comes the holiday soundtrack to the hit Disney Channel Original Series "Phineas and Ferb: Holiday Favourites".

The album consists of songs from the holiday special "Phineas and Ferb: Christmas Vacation" that was included on the DVD release "Phineas and Ferb: A Very Perry Christmas" plus bonus Christmas tracks performed by the cast of the show.

The soundtrack opens with "Winter Vacation" performed by Bowling For Soup. The song is a new Christmas take on the theme song of the show with new lyrics to represent Christmas and the holiday season. Ashley Tisdale is also included on the soundtrack, in character as Candace, singing "What Does He Want?", which was removed from the original holiday special because of time restraints. The rest of the cast including Alyson Stoner, who voices Isabella and stars in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, has a solo. Alyson, in character as Isabella covers "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow", Vincent Martella, who voices Phineas, covers "Run Rudolph Run" and Olivia Olsen, who voices Vanessa, provides a magnificent cover of "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire)". Love Handel, a fictious band that has been featured in the series covers "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" and the cast perform "The Twelve Days of Christmas" and "Danville For Niceness" which is a parody of "We Are The World".

The soundtrack is fun and I found myself laughing at some lyrics, even though the show is aimed at kids. It's a great stocking filler for any Disney fan. Available now from Walt Disney Records and Universal Music Australia.
