Released in conjunction with the release of the second film in the series, the official soundtrack to "TinkerBell and The Lost Treasure" includes songs from and inspired by the film.
The film opens with the lead single "Gift of A Friend" performed by Demi Lovato. The song is about how even though some things you can do by yourself, you should always appreciate a friend, which closely follows the themes of the film.
The majority of the songs on the soundtrack reflect the idea of fairies and magic such as Ruby Summer's "Pixie Dust" and Jordan Pruitt's "Take To The Sky". Jordan Pruitt is also joined by her fellow Hollywood Records artists. Selena Gomez appears on the track "Fly To Your Heart", which was the lead single of the original "TinkerBell" soundtrack and Jesse McCartney features on the track "I'll Try" which was originally released on the compilation album "Disney Mania 4". The original song, performed by Jonatha Brooke, appears on the soundtrack to Disney's "Return To Never Land". Disney Channel stars are also included on the soundtrack. "Sonny With A Chance"'s Tiffany Thornton contributes to the song "Magic Mirror" and "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam"'s Alyson Stoner appears on the track "Fly Away Home". Jordin Sparks is also included on the track "Road To Paradise".
The soundtrack, with it's diverse artists, is a mix of pop, folk, country and r'n'b. A number of songs featured on the soundtrack have a somewhat Irish sound to them, reflecting the look of the film.
With a number of famous stars contributing their own sound, this album is a mix of different sounds and themes such as fairies, magic and friendship. Available now from Walt Disney Records and Universal Music Australia.
