Phineas and Ferb - A Very Perry Christmas

The hit Disney Channel original series Phineas and Ferb comes to DVD in "Phineas and Ferb: A Very Perry Christmas".

The DVD includes the Christmas special "Christmas Vacation" which follows Phineas and Ferb as they discover, along with older sibling Candance (voice of Ashley Tisdale) and friends Isabella (voice of Alyson Stoner) and Jeremy (voice of Mitchel Musso) that their city of Danville has been declared "Naughty" and all of the letters to Santa written by the children of the town have been sent back. Phineas and Ferb make it their mission to correct this obvious mistake and to ensure that every child in Danville recieves presents from Santa.

Along with the Christmas special, additional episodes are included. These episodes all are titled around Perry (which reflects the DVD title). The additional episodes include "Oh, There You Are, Perry" , "Chez Platypus", "Perry Lays An Egg" and "Interview With A Platypus". In "Oh, There You Are, Perry" Perry is relocated to another host family and Phineas and Ferb think he's runaway, in the episode "Chez Platypus" Phineas and Ferb open an exclusive restaurant in their backyard, in "Perry Lays An Egg" Candance makes it her responsibility to look after what she and Phineas and Ferb believe is an egg layed by Perry and in the episode "Interview With A Platypus" Phineas and Ferb build a machine that translates animal language.

The DVD also comes with a bonus episode in the Bonus Features menu, "Doof Side of The Moon". Also included in the Bonus Features menu is "Phineas and Ferb's Virtual Fireplace", which is a DVD screensaver of an animated fireplace, "Dr. D's Xmas Jukebox-inator" which is a song selection tool that lets you skip to any song played in the "Christmas Vacation" episode. "Christmas Perry-Oki" is a fun sing-a-long feature and "Letters To Santa" is an interactive menu which includes an animated Santa reading the letters from characters from Phineas and Ferb. The most interesting feature, I believe, is the featurette "Keep On Buldin'". The featurette follows the creators of Phineas and Ferb as they create a new song for a new episode. It was really interesting to watch the creative process of the creators and to seem how, by just jamming together, they create a new song to be featured in an episode.

"Phineas and Ferb: A Very Perry Christmas" is a fun DVD with a great collection of episodes and bunch of bonus features, that will be more than welcome in your DVD collection. Available now through Walt Disney Home Entertainment.
