Hannah Montana Forever

The final season of Hannah Montana, "Hannah Montana Forever", is currently being aired on the Disney Channel. With every season comes a soundtrack release and available now is "Hannah Montana Forever: Songs From The Hit TV Series".

The album is a mix of many different genres from Hannah (performed by Miley Cyrus in character as her pop star alter ego Hannah Montana) including pop, rock, dance and r&b.

The album opens up with the duet "Gonna Get This" featuring "Replay" singer Iyaz. The track is a fun dance song and the inclusion of Iyaz gives the song a great vibe. When Hannah Montana Forever was being promoted on Disney Channel, but hadn't yet aired, a clip of this song was shown. Personally I was very excited to hear this song after I heard the clip and the song didn't disappoint. The second track "Que Sera" is a fun "I-don't-need-you" song where Hannah sings that she's better off without her former boyfriend. The chorus is catchy and is really fun to sing along too. The next track is the lead single from the album "Ordinary Girl" which is a song where Hannah sings that besides the fame she's still an ordinary girl. Although it's a worthy inclusion on the album the subject matter has been done before on previous Hannah Montana Soundtracks. "Kiss It Goodbye" is a mix of rock and dance with great vocals provided by Miley and "I'll Always Remember You" is a nice song about moving on but always keeping memories of your friends. "Need A Little Love" which features Sheryl Crow is a nice folky song about how love will always be there and "Are You Ready" (which was originally recorded for the Hannah Montana season three soundtrack and was used to promote Hannah Montana Forever) is a fun dance track about going out with friends and just having a good time. "Love That Let's Go" which is a duet with Miley's Father Billy Ray Cyrus is a nice song about letting go of the people you love to help them grow, but still being there for them. "I'm Still Good" is a fun track about not letting anything get you down and was performed in a special episode, along with "Been Here All Along", about military families. The closing track "Barefoot Cinderella" is one of my favourites from the album and is just about young love.

The only con to this soundtrack is that a duet recorded for the soundtrack between Miley Cyrus and Emily Osment, "Wherever I Go" is not included. It would have been a great inclusion to include a duet between the two characters.

With some great duets and some new sounds for Hannah Montana, be sure to pick up a copy of the final Hannah Montana soundtrack release "Hannah Montana Forever". Available now through Walt Disney Records and Universal Music Australia.
