Jennifer Lopez - Love?

jlo-love-cover

After a hiatus from music Jennifer Lopez returns with her new album “Love?”.

The album opens with the lead single “On The Floor” featuring rapper Pitbull. The song has made it’s way to the top of the charts and it’s easy to see why. It’s bouncy, it’s fun and it’s energetic. A great song to dance too. The newest single from the album “I’m Into You” featuring rapper Lil’ Wayne is also included. It’s a mid-tempo track that makes use of reggae sounds.

The album is a mix of the old sounds Jennifer Lopez is known for plus some new sounds. The track “Papi” is influenced by Jennifer’s Latin heritage and is a fusion of Latin drums and a solid dance beat.

Bonus track “Hypnotico” co-written by Lady Gaga is a club inspired track with a hook that is fun to sing along to.

Some Jennifer Lopez fans will notice that some of the tracks on the album had been leaked awhile ago on the internet. This is due to Jennifer leaving the Columbia label and moving to the Island Def Jam music group, taking the album with her. Tracks such as “(What Is) Love?” which was previously released on the digital soundtrack to Jennifer’s 2010 film “The Back-Up Plan” and tracks “One Love” and “Villain” had previously been leaked.

Standout tracks would be “(What Is) Love?” and “Starting Over”. “Starting Over” is a fantastic mid tempo track that tells the story of a woman who is no longer in love with her partner but does not want to start her life over having to look for a new love.

With a mix of sounds from dance, Latin and pop Jennifer Lopez has made a more than worthy comeback to the music industry with “Love?”. Available now from Island Records and Universal Music Australia.
