You Again

Kristen Bell stars in the latest Touchstone Pictures film “You Again”.

The film follows Kristen’s character Marni who, in high school, was not very popular. She was constantly teased and was handed the nickname “Moo”. One girl in particular, Joanna (played by Odette Yustman) made it her mission in life to tease Marni and rid her of her self esteem. Fast forward ten years and Marni is a successful businesswoman and is heading back to her hometown as her brother is getting married, to Joanna no less. Meanwhile, Marni’s Mother Gail, played by superstar Jamie Lee Curtis discovers that Joanna’s Aunt Ramona (Sigourney Weaver) is her old high school rival. Marni makes it her job to show her brother just how fake Joanna really is whilst Gail and Ramona also have a few things to work out. Add in Betty White as Marni’s Grandma Bunny and you have a perfect mix for a hilarious comedy.

You would assume because Betty White is featured she would instantly steal the show, as she has done before in her more recent endeavours. However, I believe that the real star that shines here is Mrs Jamie Lee Curtis. There’s a particular scene in which Gail performs an old cheerleading routine from her high school which will provide the audience with some laughs.

Special Features include deleted scenes, bloopers, a behind-the-scenes featurette, an “Ask The Cast” featurette and the famous “Funny or Die” segment in which an interview with the cast becomes a war between the leading actresses.

Featuring a stellar cast which brings together generations of hilarious women, “You Again” is a welcome addition to your DVD collection. Available now from Touchstone Pictures and Walt Disney Home Entertainment.
