Winter Wonderland

Part of Disney's seasonal titles, comes "Winter Wonderland", a DVD filled with your favourite Disney characters and more.

"Winter Wonderland" consists of clips and shorts from Disney feature films, direct-to-video films and other Disney productions. Each clip or short revolves around the theme of Christmas or snow.

The first clip is from "Mickey's Once Upon A Christmas" and consists of Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Huey, Duey and Louey, Goofy and Max singing three classic carols; "Jingle Bells", "Deck The Halls" and "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". This clip is used more as an introduction. The next clip is "Once Upon A Wintertime", a short made early in the career of Walt Disney, which follows a young man trying to impress his female friend on a winter date. This short was actually inspiration for Walt Disney's classic masterpiece "Sleeping Beauty", so it's a fantastic short to own. The next clip is the famous scene from "Bambi", where the title character first steps out onto the ice. It's a heartwarming clip, and it's nice to see in this context, separate from the film. The next short is "Pablo, The Cold-Blooded Penguin". This short was a favourite mainly for it's familiar narrator. As soon as the narrator begins the story you can instantly identify the voice as the voice actor for Disney's famous character Winnie The Pooh. The next clip is a clip from the film "The Sword In The Stone". This clip doesn't really centre around Christmas. The only thing that really ties it into the film is that it's set during winter, and there's snow. That's about it. The last clip is from the direct-to-DVD Disney film "Beauty and The Beast: The Enchanted Christmas". The clip is the entire musical sequence "As Long As There's Christmas" performed by Belle and the enchanted objects. It's a fun and festive closer to the film.

Bonus shorts include "The Grasshopper and The Ants" and "Lend A Paw", starring Mickey and Pluto.

Also included as Bonus Features are two games; "Snowball Madness" and "Santa's Helper". Both games are directed more at the younger age groups who will be kept occupied with the games but older viewers will not find the games challenging.

With clips from Disney classics such as "Bambi" and "The Sword In The Stone" plus beautiful musical sequences and classic shorts, Walt Disney's "Winter Wonderland" is a fantastic addition to your holiday DVD collection. Available now from Walt Disney Home Entertainment.
