Hannah Montana 3

With every season of the hit Disney Channel Original Series, Hannah Montana, a new season soundtrack is released. So it’s only right for the third season of the series to get a soundtrack appropriately titled "Hannah Montana 3".

Track by Track

It’s All Right Here
A song that tells the listener "Why would you rather be anywhere else with me?" reeling in the listener to basically, listen to the album. It’s a catchy tune and has a unique old school sound to it.

Let’s Do This
Nothing new here. The song has already been included on the Hannah movie soundtrack. However, it is a fun song that will have you singing along.

Mixed Up
Although this song is another song about Hannah singing about having a double life it’s unique in that it doesn’t have that poppy girly sound to it and rather takes on a more "Miley-esque" sound.

He Could Be The One
Reflective of the "back to Tennessee" theme of the Hannah movie this country song mixes in a country sound with a dancey chorus.

Just A Girl
A moving ballad where Miley, in character as Hannah, sings about being a girl who got lost in a world of celebrity and how she’s "just a girl".

I Wanna Know You featuring David Archuleta
A great track although the only solo line sung by David is the line "So I bring you flower’s just for no occasion". Any other line he is featured on he harmonises with Miley. The song is very poppy and adds a trumpet for a unique sound.

Supergirl
"Supergirl" is a track that is most reminiscent of the other Hannah soundtracks. The usual pop sound and the common theme of being a normal girl. The song’s chorus is explosive and differ’s from the pop sound of the verses which seperates it from the usual Hannah tracks.

Every Part of Me
This track is a bit similar to Just A Girl but still works well. However when you first listen and hear another ballad on the album you realise more depth to the soundtrack than previous Hannah Montana soundtracks.

Ice Cream Freeze (Let’s Chill)
Miley had the "Hoedown Throwdown" so Hannah has "The Ice Cream Freeze". Similar to Miley’s dance-along track "Hoedown Throwdown", "The Ice Cream Freeze" is poppy fun at it’s best with a chorus that describes the unique dancemoves such as the "Milkshake" and the "Snow Cone Slide"

Don’t Wanna Be Torn
A song about growing up and being independent, it’s a good track that works well with the theme of Miley/Hannah maturing in the series.

Let’s Get Crazy
It was included on the Hannah movie soundtrack. It was included on Disney Channel Playlist. Although it has been heard in the series the song has been more prominent in the movie and didn’t really need to be added to the tracklist.

I Wanna Know You
The solo version of the Hannah/David duet. The song only differs slightly from the duet but is still worth a listen.

Let’s Make This Last 4Ever Mitchel Musso
Once you get past the lame verses; "I need a kick drum, a guitar now, and a bass line"; and make your way to the chorus you have a great pop/rock song.

If We Were A Movie featuring Corbin Bleu
The song from the first season of the series re-recorded as a duet with Corbin Bleu is a nice little track and Corbin is heard more on the track.

Summary
Although the soundtrack includes a couple of tracks that have been heard before the new tracks make up for it. With it’s more mature sound, although it might be abandoning some of the show’s younger fans, it works well with the fans who have grown up with Hannah and the series.
7/10
