Taylor Swift returns with her first live album, a collection of previously released tracks from the country superstar performed live on her sold out “Speak Now” world tour.
The DVD and CD release includes a DVD of a full performance of the concert and the CD includes a selection of highlights from the show. The concert is presented in a mixture of hand held camera’s and professional shots which gives the DVD a feeling of being in the audience. The concert is a spectacle, with each track having some sort of story or point of interest to it. A stand out favourite would be the performance of “Speak Now”. In the performance, Taylor, along with two back-up singers perform in front of a wedding where Taylor is coaxed into stopping the wedding and pleading the groom to come back to her because she’s the one he really loves.
All of Taylor’s fan favourites are included; “Mine”, “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story” as well as album tracks including “Dear John” and “Fearless”. Also included is a cover of Train’s “Drops of Jupiter”.
The concert is visually exciting and is obviously a creation of Taylor’s vivid imagination. The CD and DVD package is a must have for any Taylor Swift fan. Available now from Big Machine Records and Universal Music Australia.
