Following the release of the Australian Edition of "My Worlds" comes this new two-disc special edition from Justin Bieber, "My World: The Collection".
Be aware that I am writing this review as a non Belieber so it's not biased in any way. When you think of Bieber you think, hair flipping and screaming girls. The protege of mega superstar Usher does actually have some good music out there though which indeed gives him some credibility in the music industry.
This two-disc special edition of his debut release, "My Worlds: The Collection" includes the entire tracklist of his US release "My Worlds Acoustic" which includes eight of his most popular tracks re-recorded as acoustic versions. The second disc includes the Australian Edition of "My Worlds", his debut EP "My World" and follow-up "My World 2.0" on one CD.
The first disc includes eight of Justin's most popular tracks re-recorded in acoustic form. The tracks are debut single "One Time", breakout hit "Baby", "One Less Lonely Girl", "Down To Earth", "U Smile", "Favourite Girl (Live)", "That Should Be Me" and "Never Say Never" featuring Jaden Smith. The acoustic version of "Stuck In The Moment" isn't included as it is on the US release. Also included is Justin's latest track "Pray" and bonus tracks include "Somebody To Love (Remix)" featuring Usher and the single version of "Never Say Never" featuring Jaden Smith. Each acoustic song's arrangement suits the song and the arrangements are not overdone. Standout tracks are the single version "Never Say Never" featuring Jaden Smith, which also features in the motion picture remake "The Karate Kid" and "Somebody To Love (Remix)" featuring Usher.
The second disc consists of the Australian Edition of "My Worlds". A total of nineteen tracks are presented on disc two including Justin's debut single "One Time" and fan favourite "Baby" featuring Ludacris. Also included is singles "U Smile" and "Eenie Meenie" with Sean Kingston. Bonus tracks included on the second disc are "Common Denominator" (a bonus track of "My World") and "Where Are You Now?" (a bonus track of "My World 2.0"). Standout track would be "Love Me" which samples The Cardigans nineties hit "Lovefool" and the single "Eenie Meenie" with Sean Kingston.
This album is pop-filled, and though I don't think it will turn this young man into a Belieber you get what you pay for; an album full of dance-worthy, radio friendly tracks and love songs that will make any teenage girl's heart melt. Available now from The Island Def Jam Music Group and Universal Music Australia.
